Ampath playing god!
Ampath who made you god?
Have you taken a leaf out of the Discovery playbook?
My kid has just spent the past week rowing in a regatta on the filthy dirty Buffalo River in East London. He has Gilbert's Syndrome and has returned sick as a dog. GP sent him for bloods including liver function this morning. Result are ready but as a patient I am told there is some rule about a NINE day waiting period. This has NEVER ben the case before today - NEVER!
SA Rowing Champs is in 2 weeks time and as parents we need to check his cumulative bilirubin levels. We take the care to manage and look after a lot of our health care issues ourselves. I have a rare discorder called Refsum (1 : 1 000 000) and this is controlled entirely by diet and thus by me and not some doctor. The same actually goes for Gilbert's Syndrome as there is no treatment or cure for this other then knowing what spikes the levels and making sure you avoid this as best possible. I repeat my question - what makes you god when it comes to us managing our own health care matters??
Since when is there a 9 day waiting period - service has been paid for and results should be ready immediately as they always are. Some "god" at Ampath clearly thinks it is cool to change the rules and mess your customers, yes those of us who pay your salaries, around!
Going forward the instruction to the GP is that we REFUSE to use Amapth.

Well done Ampath … you completely missed the point I was making.
Try reading my review again and try replying to what I took the trouble to say!!!!
Firstly what was the point of contacting my doctor as she had already verbally given me a quick call with the result.
Secondly you miss the point that on the release of result in the past these have been available to me in the app/ portal immediately but some administrative god has decided to change that.
Thirdly I make the point that I want to be able to pull down the cumulative report so I can track the results over time and put the money spent towards paying your salaries to good use by using your technology and not a pen and paper to do the trend.
You completely ignore everything I say in my review.
What a waste of time - time to use your competitor as clearly you have more then enough business and do not need business from me.

Probably a waste of time as will probably find that the other medical god has "discovered" that it is good to buy up all the labs so I am wasting my time yet again

For the records the setting were changed recently. They have been as they are now that you have fixed them for years.
Not exactly sure why I have to go to the end of the earth to get someone to listen and put them back to what they were.
And thanks because now I have been able to send the cumulative report and tell his teachers, rowing coaches etc the following:
Bilirubin up at a cumulative high for Matthew. Can’t do anything about it medically other then watch diet and intake and just being aware that he will look and feel jaundiced, probably have cramps and generally not feel good at all. Training will make him tired but this will increase that level of tiredness significantly. On day 2 today of the 3 day Zithromax treatment to clear system of what it can from Buffalo. Keeping up with a good probiotic…. head down for next 3 weeks and be like a penguin and just smile and wave! 🐧 😊 👋
