Ampath: lowest ranking 3rd world testing facility

What a shameful disappointing experience of one of SA’s leading medical testing facilities ever to experience!!! Firstly they were suppose to provide a container with a preservation chemical before I checked out. Stopped in Randburg and they phoned, sorry we were supposed your container . Then they asked me to drive back to Unitas to come and fetch it. Nether te less I used my brain and asked if I can get in JHB at a branch. Yes, you can just collect at nearest lab. No problem. Then the question who was going to be liable for this test now? And I was advised I will we liable because I got it out of hospital. Reallllyyy!!! Wait it’s getting better. Received a bill from Ampath for R25k, why? No body who ever came to se me and draw bloods mind putting the authorisation number on my forms. Can someone please show Ampath’s staff to check in a patient’s file, there is pack of stickers printer tor their convenience to just to Peel off and put it on their vorm. I promise my nice we give all of you a day course and most of your technical problems will be of the past.Never ever did I encounter such incompetence and unprofessional behaviour. I already advise my dr that I will refuse any person from Ampath near me. They are brainless beings *****ing one’s money. But anyhow I am not even going to waste my time to do their work for them will signed an acknowledgment of debt and a te-payment of R10.00 a month. To be dead honest I did not even get one unpaid invoice from any other supplier during my recent stay. Even my Unitas bill come through and is settled. My advice: rather use Lancet than Ampath. Ampath is wrottin in its core.
