Ampath Laboratories

I recently went to Parklands Hospital where Ampath carried out various laboratory tests. One particular test 'Biofire" is not covered by Discovery Medical Aid, which they know. The procedure being, I received from Ampath at Parklands, is the advise the Doctor, who in turn advises the patient that the 'Biofire test is for his personal account, as the medical aid have not approved the 'Biofire Tests', which cost R3595.60. I did not give Ampath Laboratories permission, nor was I advised by the Doctor. They carried out the 'Biofire tests without following their own procedures . The Ampath Accounts division have been harassing me to pay and further more the have handed the debit over to Varicredit to collect. I have it on tape from Ampath Laboratories at Parklands the procedure to be followed. At no time did I give Ampath Laboratories permission to carry out the 'Biofire tests' , the test were not authorised by me.
