Ampath is no longer the pathologists of choice.
Ampath has really become worryingly useless. Not sure if its financial problems or poor management. The staff are overworked cant even have proper sick leave and have to work despite being ill. The blood results are not availble on your app anymore i till its rwleased by the GP whatever that means. Not going to happen as my Dr is pro Lancet not Ampath! So how do they expect patients to pay the bill if they are not entitled to a copy of the reault? This smacks of something stinky, how are patients not entitled to their own results?

01 Jun 2022, 16:00Hi Beverley. Thank you for your review and the information flagged therein. We are only able to investigate an instance of a staff member being ill and not being afforded proper sick leave if the detail is made available. Staff are encouraged to follow internal processes when there would be a grievance of this nature so that due process can be followed. Once a doctor refers a patient for a test, the results are always sent to him/her first in order that they may be explained to the patient. Our system allows 9 days for this before the results are typically released to the App, with the exception of Histopathology results which are complex.
