AMPATH debt for pensioners 80 years

My mother of 80 years owe AMPATH R600 and they did give it through to NCCS......I feel that they could forget about the money that she owe them, because of her age, and why did they not phone her and explain to her that the medical aid did not want to pay for the tests!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
