AMPATH

I am Diabetic Type 1 pensioner once a year I have to go for a series of blood test as prescribed by dear old Bonitas based on their care plan. In March some of my blood test were rejected and Ampath claimed I owe them R1076,00. It’s taken six months the of queries with Bonitas why my claims was rejected, eventually two months ago a lady from Bonitas phoned me and explained the the codes used were incorrect that is their fault and she fixed all the codes and Bonitas paid Ampath Great. No not so great she took upon herself to go back on the records to check the codes and discovered I paid Ampath R1076.00 in 2020, but Bonitas reversed the claim and paid Ampath. Now I’m told by that by law Ampath should have informed that they have been paid twice and I’m due a refund, forget that. They sit with your money gaining interest on the money, and now that I have requested to be refunded, they start by giving me the round around, it would take the three to four days to look it up in the archives. Roshande Jordan contacts stating they can’t find the payment and I must provide proof of payment which I did I supp**** with bank states, a letter from Ampath agreeing that I pay the amount over three months which I did. It’s now two weeks later the Roshande does not even reply to my email asking when am I going to be refunded. I’m advised that this is *****, they can’t hold on to money that does not belong to them it has been recommended to me that I go and open a case of ***** with the police, maybe then I’ll get paid, what a pathetic company.
