Am-Path likes to cash double and no refunds after wards.

Good Evening, Should you ever have the need to get blood drawn, do your best to avoid this company. Last year I had blood drawn by the office in JBay. The lady attending to me was so highly qualified that she could do anything with nothing. First she forgot or were not so qualified to put the ICD 10 code in. Obvious medical aid rejected the claim. Wonderful a person should think of such service . Contacting their offices their receptionist softly said they never had a ICD 10 code for Diabetes!! It is my job to find the ICD 10 code and supply it to them. I was send from Humansdorp to J BAY Dis-Chem which is 36 km both ways to get the ICD 10 code. I got the code from Dis-Chem and supply it to medical aid. Medical aid still rejected the claim as the ICD 10 does not fit to the blood test. All for nothing. So Am-path forced me to pay the test witch was R116.00. I wrote a complaint to the Ombudsman for medical aids. In September I got very very sick and a emergency operation was performed on me. Who was the first on the scene to deplete my medical aid blood allowance? Am-path of course!! The operation was no success and I had to be operated again. Who was there again drawing another R2500.00 worth of blood tests. You guessed it. Now after depleting my amount allocated for blood I have to pay this private. Medical aid rejected the blood tests and Am-Path started sending demands for payment. So we countered back and as for an account so we can see what is going on. Great was our surprise that the Ombudsman made medical aid pay the R116.00 to Am-Path!! Am-path never had the decency to contact us or to refund our money. They were never interested to repay the money. Now that the account is in arrears Am-path gladly wants to refund our money by deducting it from the outstanding R2500.00. Of goes a complaint to the Ombudsman for medical aids. Their accounting system is in such shambles that nobody in there now what they are doing. So I paid the account out of my private pocket. So medical aid decides to pay!! They received some money double!! Now they refuse to repay me the overpaid money. Exactly the same as the first time. No e-mail gets answered no response what so ever. They blatantly refuse to refund over paid monies!! So should you need blood tests go rather to a government hospital you are better of.
