I have used a Schick Quatro razor for many years. Schick is owned by Edgewell Personal Care, part of Energiser and distributed locally by Incobrands. It its an excellent product. This issue have is the following. You can purchase a three pack of disposable Schick Quatro " Titanium and Diamond" coated four bladed razors for generally around R69.95, Clicks have had a special at under R60.00 recently. Very useful if you are on vacation or trying for the first time. Like it and you can buy a permanent handle and even a battery model with handy trimmer. That is about R23.00 per razor. Now if you buy the four pack of replaceable blades, these go at R169.95 mostly and as much as R190.00 at Woolworths. That works out at R42.50 per four blade unit. The blades are identical and can be clipped off the disposable handle (more plastic for the landfill !), this is what I do.

I have presumed that good business practice is, look after your regular customers, not exploit them, while pampering one off or new customers until they are hooked.

Would the distributers like to comment on this marketing strategy?
