no repair policy

I have emailed customer care directly but was conveniently ignored. I recently took in an AMC Flux unit - a pricey induction stove unit in for a repair. I was aware that it be for my account as the 2 year guarantee had elapsed. <br> However I was stunned when the attending consultant told me that no repair/quote will be done on any item over 2 years old. I must either purchase a new unit - or \borrow"someone elses more recent invoice so as to submit this item as a warranty repair. This is indeed ********* behaviour - and the question begs to be answered : Is AMC an inferior brand that has only a 2 year lifespan and must be discarded afterwards? Does aftersales service/repair even exist?"""

Hello vsinghv,

We refer to your comment and would like to clarify the following:

When the Flux is faulty, the repair is honoured under the guarantee period, or the item is replaced where it is deemed necessary.

As we strive to keep our customers happy, we extend our services by offering to repair the Flux at a standard cost of R400.00 where the guarantee has expired. This payment is payable upfront.

Should you be interested in repairing your Flux at the standard cost, please feel free to hand it to the nearest AMC Sales Centre.

We apologise for the miscommunication in this regard and assure you of our best interest in customer care.

Kind Regards
AMC COOKWARE
