Defective workmanship and inferior quality

Purchased a number of units at one go from Ramona in Musgrave less than six months ago , and paid in full. When i asked why the pots are so light i was told its the new handles. I was not convinced, so i logged a query on the AMC website and received the cliche'd "superior gold standard quality" response from Fay Behardien. My mom bought hers pots over 30 years ago and it is so much heavier and better quality than the new range I purchased. The little plastic rings from the pot handle fall off when the lid is turned upside down. The material looks cheap and although I follow the care instruction religiously my less than six month old pots are scratched and have developed chips. So i complained, and was told to return the units I was not happy with to the agent I purchased from. Ramona collected two of the units to return them to head office for investigation. Dont know why she did not take all units, I mean there's a real possibility all of those are defective too. I have not even used a number of the units but can help but think that the same will happen to those. I informed Ramona that I am dissatisfied with the product and want to return all units. So I asked is AMC going to do a quick refurb and force return those same units to me? Thats not going to go down well with me ! Will AMC provide courtesy units for use whilst they carry out their lengthy investigations? No one knows how long it will take, and they certainly dont care. Will i receive a brand new set of pots with supposedly superior "gold standard" quality? Sorry AMC I dont trust your promises of quality, or will i receive a full refund? I'm still waiting for AMC to respond. So as things stand AMC will have all the units that I paid for and my money whilst I am left with is questions?????. Dont you ever wonder why it is okay for AMC to send defective units back to head office for investigation and not offer a courtesy or replacement unit right away? After all AMC would not hand over units to buyers unless and until fully paid for, so why should we suffer the inconvenience without demanding a full refund, courtesy or replacement unit. By the way I have cheap no name pots that i cooked with for the past 11 years and those pots are still shiny, scratch and chip free. From this it is clearly not a case of me being negligent (i mean if my old cheap pots could withstand my use and care for the last 11 years) it is definately a defective workmanship and poor quality AMC issue. As the price of the AMC cookware increases the quality has dropped. It is the way of the world to always ***** the consumer and AMC seems to have this down to an art. I refer to my "supposed gold standard new range AMC pots as the poor undernourished cousins of my mom's AMC pots of 30 years ago.

If you like me want to purchase AMC because your mom is still using her's from 30 years ago. I beg you to reconsider. The AMC units of today are a disgrace and a far cry from those of 30 years ago that we all knew and loved.
