AMC classic cookware pot flaw
I want to share my experience with the best cookware to my knowledge. A family member cook beetroot in a fairly new 30cm pot. She got distracted and the beetroot burned badly. We tried to clean the pot but no success , and we sent in for a polish by AMC Cape town. It came back a new pot with no evidence of burnt beetroot. When winter came we cook soup in the same newly refurbished pot. After the meal, I was doing the dishes and noticed the outside bottom of the pot is uneven. On closer inspection I noticed the bottom metal on the outside is starting to separate making the uneven bubbles. I took it back to AMC and they said the damage is caused by overheating. There goes the lifetime guarantee and they can solve this problem by replacing the pot with a 50% payment which is R4000 plus. There is a flaw in the product which wasn't tested. I am using all my AMC pots on a gas stove and maybe it can't handle open flames. Is the rest of my set going to follow the same route and end up paying 50% more on the already expensive cookware.
So much for thinking I bought the best. Regards Jan
