The amazon/kindle giants falling down in the brave new online world!!
Well, firstly it's difficult to find Kindle here, as it's part of Amazon. The faceless Giant. And that's the problem. I am a voice artist, award wining by the way, and narrator of audio books. Trying to do an audio book on ACX audible of my own book. I record various other authors. Recently I tried to access my Book which is on Kindle. And I had lost the password access. Simple Issue you would think? After establishing the Simple issue I had a range of different call centre folk trying to help.. And not bothering to read the actual problem .. To cut a long and tedious story short. I can't access my kindle book published on Amazon and therefore unable to do the audio book. Unless I re publish I am assuming. The idiot responses range from THEM "Can you contact the publisher.?. ME ..The publisher is you *****. Via Lulu.com to Amazon. And "we understand you can't find your book on Kindle " .. ME ..."Here is the screen shot of my book on Kindle! "... Now no response. We live in a new world which relies on remote work.. Sadly Amazon/ Kindle haven't caught up or lazily use call centres with staff that Franky don't give a ****. I will use a different platform and hope one day these Giants will become diminished. As many companies do when they forget about the importance of client service..
