Late delivery afted paying extra for faster shipping

Ordered an item and paid an extra amount to fast track my order. The order has not arrived and i am being told i should wait for the 5th of April. Mind this is the easter weekend week so i wont be here to receive parcel from the 3rd of April. They are refusing to cancel and refund me. So essentially i will be losing money because Amazon is not keeping up their delivery promise.
