Serious Order Fulfilment and Customer Service Concern

I am extremely disappointed with the way this order has been handled.

When I opened my package, I discovered that I had received the wrong product. In addition, another product that was part of my order was not included at all. The tracking information continues to state that Amazon will email me with an estimated delivery date, yet almost a month has passed and I still have not received the product.

What is particularly concerning is that I have now spoken to five different consultants, resulting in five different email exchanges and variations of the same correspondence. Despite all of this, the matter remains unresolved.

This is not simply a delivery issue. It reflects a serious lack of coordination, order visibility, accuracy and ownership across the customer service and fulfilment process. At every stage, there should be a clear and accurate record of what was ordered, what was dispatched, what was delivered, what is outstanding, and what action is being taken to resolve the issue.

I would respectfully suggest that Amazon South Africa's leadership, including Robert Koen, consider whether the current systems and processes supporting the online shopping operation are sufficiently integrated and fit for purpose. A robust ERP and properly integrated order-management system should provide accurate, end-to-end visibility and ensure that every interaction and resolution is recorded and accessible to the relevant teams.

It is particularly concerning when a company operating in the technology sector cannot deliver a basic online shopping experience accurately and efficiently. This inevitably raises questions about customer confidence and the level of trust customers can place in the organisation's broader technology and cloud capabilities.

I say this as a frustrated customer, not simply to complain. Amazon has built a globally recognised reputation for technology, reliability and customer experience. Unfortunately, my experience in this instance is doing the opposite and is creating a very poor impression of Amazon in South Africa.

I therefore request that this matter be escalated to someone with the authority to resolve it and that I receive:

Confirmation of exactly what happened to my original order; Confirmation of the correct product that was supposed to be delivered; A clear status update on the outstanding product; A confirmed delivery date or appropriate resolution; and A clear explanation of how Amazon intends to resolve the incorrect item that was delivered.

After almost a month and five separate consultant interactions, I believe it is reasonable to expect a definitive resolution rather than another generic response.

I look forward to receiving a substantive response and resolution.
