Returns process is appalling (the machine was faulty, it wasn't a question that I just changed my mind)!
Thinking about buying from Amazon South Africa? Not sure it’s a great idea. I bought a very expensive coffee machine, had same day delivery, but the machine is faulty (won’t switch on). It arrived in an unsealed box with the quick start guide (as seen on the official YouTube installation video, I googled to see if there was maybe another switch, and their video showed a paper guide, which was certainly not part of the box I got) missing, so I believe it had possibly already been returned once. I started the returns process, but this is a “third party seller”, so it’s not a question of getting a new one delivered and the old one collected – the courier has to pick it up – 4 days (they don’t work on weekends, and they have to collect and then deliver to Amazon) then Amazon will check the return and will take up to 7 business days to refund my credit card. This process is not customer friendly, Amazon have the use of my money for probably 2 weeks, and I really don’t care if this is a third party reseller, I ordered this from Amazon and surely they could get the reseller to drop off a new one and pick up the old one? Apparently not, and dealing with their on-line chat is a nightmare so I eventually gave up. Waiting for the machine to be picked up and I’ll order another one elsewhere.
