Return and Refund Process is Horrible

I bought a ringlight with tripod stand and when I received it, the stand falls over as the legs are uneven. I requested a refund and after a few correspondences with the seller, who told me the cost to return the items are the responsibility of the buyer, no further communication has been received. I expected them to collect the item and deduct costs from the money I already paid. I'm disappointed with Amazon and will steer clear of their marketplace from now on. What an expensive lesson to learn!
