Refund taking long

I returned an item *** and it's been almost a month with no refund or update on said refund. Amazon is also not helpful as there is no email address or phone number that I can contact, the status on the refund on the app is from August 7th. It's highly frustrating and is making me hesitant to ever purchase again in case I'm not happy with an item and the return process is highly frustrating.
