An Exercise in Digital Frustration
Many years ago (About 2012) I signed up with Amazon for the Kindle app for my Samsung pocket reader. I purchased a few books and enjoyed reading digital books, building up a significant library. A short while back this old Samsung became too old and fragile and I had to upgrade. I tried to sign into my Amazon Library account to transfer my library to a new reader but I failed. After a few tries Amazon informed my that my account was locked. I managed to get a Call in Number and called in a few times and every time ended with Idiots who could not understand my problem. After about 6 tries I finally got hold of a young female who claimed to be in South Africa. She suggested that I open a new account with the same ID and that it would be easy to transfer my library from the old frozen account to my new one linked for security purposes to my cellphone. I did so. Stupidly I neglected to store her phone number Today, 26-11-2022 I tried repeatedly to get hold of some Telephone Assistant who could guide me. The latest Amazon website is too complex for me to get hold of someone. (I am not too stupid with Data and Electronic communication, My MBA Tech report was the first published at Stell in both paper and digital format.
How the hell can I get access to my old Library?
