Amazon South Africa - The Worst

Shocking service. I ordered 5 books from Amazon SA, 2 of which showed as in stock, 3 of which I was advised would take a few weeks. No problem. Without any communication, I received one of the books in stock, but not the other. I proceeded to, after 2 weeks, cancel the one that had not arrived (this was something I needed together with book no 1, rather urgently). I contacted customer service, dealt with a lovely young man who used these canned platitudes (very Americanised) but he was lovely nevertheless. It turns out the book is temporarily out of stock and will take many weeks/months to become available again. No communication about this whatsoever. NOTHING. It will also take 5-7 days for a refund, despite the fact that the payment was taken within seconds. I regret ever ordering from a big corporation with no soul.
