Amazon sells blocked phones

I bought a cell phone from Amzon in July 2024. It stopped reading the SIM a few months ago and Samsung told me it was blacklisted because it was either 'counterfeit or ******'. Very hard to contact Amazon though chat/phone. Finally got an email address and they said they investigate only to be told 'we can confirm that the order was placed more than two years ago' (not true) and after contacting them again I was told 'I can confirm that this item was sold by Kami General Trading (PTY) LTD and fulfilled by Amazon'. I do not think that it should be up to me to sort things out with the company that supp**** Amazon. According to Samsung there were about a dozen people with the same problem with the same phone (AO5). As the lady in the Samsung shop said, best to buy from a shop. Whereas this is not a massive amount of money, I am appalled by the attitude of Amazon and difficulty of making a complaint.
