Exceptional service

<p>I recently ordered a few items from Amazon.co.uk to be delivered to South Africa. My son is a huge fan of Hey Duggee and you cannot buy any items related to it in SA. I ordered the items to arrive in time to arrive before my son had to go for an operation - I wanted them to be a nice distraction for him afterwards. After tracking the delivery online I was upset to see that the delivery was being returned as it was "refused at address" but it never arrived!</p> <p> </p> <p>i immediately contacted Amazon and informed them of what happened. Within a few hours I had an email response apologising profusely. They explained that as an online shop they relay heavily on local courier companies, but that items not arriving reflects poorly on them. They refunded my original</p> <p>postage costs and arranged to have the items re-sent as soon as possible. Just a few days later they arrived and my son was over the moon.</p> <p> </p> <p>Well done Amazon, you know what customer service is all about!</p>
