Awful service! 3 deliveries "lost by carrier" within n a week

I ordered a Canon camera (and a few other items) from Amazon, using my Amazon Prime account for next day delivery on 01/06/2016. The following day none of the items arrived, only an email saying a delivery attempt was made but nobody was home and delivery would be the following day - I found this strange as I was at home all day and we have a Porter in the lobby of the building. When there was still no delivery by 03/06/2016 I followed up with Amazon on 3 separate occasions, with each agent assuring me the package would be delivered before the end of business day on 04/06/2016. Again, no delivery was made. I then contacted Amazon again and the agent thought it best for the order to be cancelled and a refund given as Amazon could not track the package that was "Lost by carrier".

Once i I received my money back on 05/06/2016 I reordered the items that never arrived and made sure to choose the slightly more expensive canon camera that was being sold and dispatched by Amazon for same day delivery. When I had still not received anything by 9pm that evening I again made contact with Amazon and was told the item would be with me shortly as the carrier was running late. At 10:30pm on 05/06/2016 I noticed the status of the delivery had again changed to "Lost by carrier". Upon seeing this I immediately phoned Amazon and spoke to an agent who again told me the same excuses and that she would replace the order for next day delivery, I said that was fine and only then wanted the Canon camera replaced as the other items were not significant or urgent - this agent also sent me an email guarantee'ing the Canon camera would arrive on 06/06/2016.

On 06/06/2016 I could see the status was showing as out for delivery, and even got an email from an Amazon agent at around 9:30pm saying she had been in touch with the carrier and it would arrive shortly. By 11pm I had still not received anything, and saw that in the delivery tracking that the item was again and for the 3rd time "Lost by carrier".

How is this possible?! For 3 of the same item to be lost by the carrier on 3 separate occasions? I find this very hard to believe! For a company that has the catch line "building Earth's most customer centric company", I find that ironic as Amazon has completely ruined any and all trust and loyalty from myself as a customer over the past few years - and a subscription paying Prime custome.

i am extremely unhappy with Amazon because of the repeated non-delivery of goods ordered, the lack of any tangible remediation and quality of feedback to me as the customer. I've been **** to by the Amazon gents who have told me conflicting excuses, and lack thereof for reasoning how 3 different packages can suddenly go missing at the 12th hour of a delivery. While each agent has begged and pleaded to give Amazing h another chance and extended my Prime membership - I absolutely will not, because 3 times! Non delivery once is rare, twice in a week shows a clear problem, and 3 times within a week is just disgraceful from a company that's core business in this case is logistics. The sad part about this all, is that the Canon camera was meant as a birthday gift on 03/06/2016, so not only was I left without a gift to give to my loved one on the day, but have let them down each time Amazon has failed to deliver as it had explained the problem to them and given them false hope in when they would receive their gift - because Amazon has been unable to fulfil a simple order.

i will take my business elsewhere in future as Amazon has proved this last week that I cannot trust them to provide a promised service.
