Defective Gas Heaters and Design Flaws

Alva Gas Heaters are clearly defective or have a design flaw. Bought a heater yesterday from picknpay, couldn’t get it started after following instructions and numerous ignition attempts. Went back to return it and got another. Went home same issue. Went back for a refund this time, while waiting in line, another 4 people showed up with similar issues to complain. The sales rep tried to say it was because of ventilation issues, cyclinder to full etc etc We the consumers weren’t using it correctly etc. Either way got a refund and purchased another brand which worked on first attempt with same cyclinder. The inconvenience, non user friendliness, design flaw and flimsy material used in manufacturing doesn’t make this a good buy and definitely would not recommend this product.

Thumbs up though for the picknpay staff at eastrand mall and the manager on shift for handling our complaints well and offering returns/refunds.
