No Business Ethics

I am really disappointed with the service and response I have received from Alpine VW as a reputable Volkswagen dealership.

This transaction was handled poorly in my eyes as to my knowledge I followed every step which was asked to ensure the vehicle was secured for me.

I feel as though I have been misled by management as to my knowledge I have been advised that my Ford focus ST was a trade in of “concern” and it seems as though my deal was discouraged due to that concern.

From the get go I was open about the condition of my vehicle. I clearly indicated that there were issues and I was open for them to be stated and taken record of whilst establishing a trade in price for my vehicle. We negotiated up and down up until Swalehe the salesman advised me that his manager Damon Nel has finally come to a price of 120K and he would be comfortable at doing the deal at that trade price.

I was not happy but I amended my finance to incorporate the low value as I understood that the vehicle needed attention. I was never once told that the vehicle had a pending deal or a finance application already processed, so that also adds to the fact that I was misled. I don’t find this appropriate at all nor do I believe that this conduct is fair.

If my trade in was such an issue, I expected for it to have brought up to my attention and we could have negotiated and come to a compromise. I don’t get how dealers in today’s poor market are open to throw away business.

I believe in honest and straight forward business, though clearly I was not respected the same way here. I am not happy at all as for the last two weeks after countless calls in I find out that this week I am second option on a vehicle which was guaranteed to me. How does that work?? And then I still get played about as though my business does not matter. This is totally unacceptable and I want this to be taken further as This is really not on and I would appreciate a call from the manager and the DP or owner if privately owned, I will not miss out on a vehicle that should rightfully be mine.

I will lodge a complaint with the motor industry Ombud so they may lodge a formal investigation as I strongly believe I have been ****** of a vehicle.

When my finance was requested I did it, when any request was requested, I did it and now I get a “ sorry vehicle is sold “ not on guys, this is poor , very very poor business ethics.
