Rude agent and not wanting to fix my car
Had an accident in April and the ium insurance is running away from fixing my car, however they have fixed their clients car, their client hit my car an until now my car is nt fixed and the insurance says that they will not fix my car while they still have other cars to fix for their clients, my question is when will my car be fixed, on their website they say, carclaims takes 10 days, what a lie, I had to deal with their rude agent by the name of nonhlanhla over the months, they never called me to tell me how far is process of fixing my car, I never got a call from them, contacting them is such a hussle, Is this company even registered, the service of this insurance company is beyond pathetic

16 Jul 2021, 16:46Good Afternoon Kim.
We refer to your complaint, please note that the claim turnaround times on our website are based on clients that are insured through IUM, and as explained in our email correspondence yesterday the 15th July 2021 our office receives a magnitude of claims on a monthly basis which all require the attention of our handlers. We note that we received the requested information on 29 June 2021 (12 business days ago) and there are numerous other claims that have been submitted before your claim which require the same amount of attention, that we are sure you would like your claim to receive. We are sure you can understand that we cannot favour one third party claim before another as this would create a situation where certain claims are never attended to, in explanation, if we receive ten claims tomorrow that request we attend to it immediately before your claim it means that your claim will then not be attended to on the diarised time and the same request the following day etc. we will only attend to these claims and never get to your claim. For the above stated reason we cannot provide third parties with an estimated time for the finalisation of a claim as each claim is different and all claims have to follow a validation process which could take anywhere between 30-180 days. Because we understand that this process can take an extended period of time we always advise third parties that should they require a claim to be finalised within a specific time or as a matter of urgency to refer the claim to their insurer who would attend to such a request. Should a third party however elect to exclude their own insurer, they would have to unfortunately follow the validation process. As stated above, your claim is still in the early stage of the validation process and has been diarised by the handler who will in due course provide you with an update. I hope the above gives more clarity and we implore on you to allow us with time to follow our internal process of validating your claim. We persist that you have been treated fairly and we note that you have lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman, we will await a response from their office. I trust you find the above in order.
Kind Regards,
