Any excuse to pay full repairs of my bike.
I was involved in an accident on the 9th of May and was hospitalised for a month. While in hospital the insurance arranged to have my bike collected for assessment and repairs. After assessment was done, I was told that crash bobins will not be replaced as they were additions on the bike yet when I took that insurance I was never told that they had to be noted for them to cover. Also I was told by repair place that they will not pay to replace both levers as the left clutch lever was damage, instead they will replace one which then will not match with blue coloured levers I had on my bike.

Dear Cyril - We hope you have recovered from your injuries. We have confirmed with the repairer that both of your levers will be replaced and will be the same colour. Additions to a bike do have to be notified to the insurer as this affects the value of the insurance cover on the bike and therefore the premium. The crash bobbins are extra items that are not installed on your model bike at the factory, which should have been notified to us. However, we have looked at the value of the replacement crash bobbins and we will replace them for you as part of the claim at no cost to you.
