Broken Promises and 'You can go GOOGLE the owners' response ... worst estate agency I have dealt with

So I rented a unit in Edenvale from this estate agent Irene from Alec Massel Estates - on the 15th Dec 2018, and duly paid the deposit, admin fee and first months rent and initial promise that the unit would be renovated (painted/new carpets etc) and be ready by the first of December. When I phoned the following week I to enquire why I had not received the Lease agreement yet, I was told by a Debbie that Irene had gone on leave and they couldn't get the unit ready by the first , but they would have it ready on the 5th ... so promise already broken.

Yesterday (the 3rd January) i checked on the progress of the work at the unit and to my surprise no work had been done. I then contacted Alec Massel Estate Agents and got hold of Debbie who told me that it was Stefan's (the maintenance manager) problem and he would have the unit ready. I spoke to Stefan and he promised to meet me on site at 10am this morning. 10 am came and went and Stefan and no work being done on the unit. And when you phone the Alec Massel office you get no answer ... ANOTHER FAILURE. It's now 5pm Friday the 4th and no work at all has been completed on the unit. Efforts to speak to the the people in the office finally cam at about 3pm this afternoon, when I was told that work will only begin on the unit tomorrow ... more promises broken .. I then asked Debbie who is the owner of the company and she said it was Chris Will and gave me his number.

When I phoned Chris Will he had a really bad attitude and told me if I want to know who owns Alec Massel Estate i can go and Google it !!! So no help there ......

Well I have now found out that the business's Managing Director is actually a Kobus Kleynhans (not available till Monday) and a Rina Beck?? is the other director .. also not available ..

At the end of the day if you are thinking of using this estate agency ... based on my experience I would recommend you stay far away from them !!!!!
