Poor quality bread at high prices

The quality of bread has dropped. The bread is more expensive, but the quality is poor. I buy the low GI white for school lunch. I freeze the bread and take out slices in the morning to make sandwiches. I cut off the crusts when the bread is partially defrosted. If the bread is completely defrosted, it's impossible to cut off the crusts. If the bread slice is frozen, the bread breaks and can't be used. It has become very difficult to cut the slices without breakage. The dogs have been getting lots of broken slices. The quality is terrible.
