Endangering lives of Road users

<p>from an Engineering technicians perspective (N-diploma mechanical engineering)</p> <p> </p> <p>i was stationary at a red traffic light, when all of a sudden a hear a massive scratching/s****ing noise.</p> <p>Albany TRUCK drove into me, the first thing the driver said to me was he was so sorry but the BRAKES OF THE TRUCK FAILED, meaning he admitted that the breaking system of this heavy duty vehicle is faulty.</p> <p>being the owner of this 2 month old vehicle (purchased few weeks ago) i was obviously irritated but understanding. </p> <p> </p> <p>the truck driver called up his manager and his manager then INSISTED i let the driver (and faulty truck) leave the scene of the accidet, TO FINISH HIS DELIVERIES AFTER I HEARD THE DRIVER TELLING HIS MANAGER ONCE AGAIN THE BRAKES FAILED ON THE TRUCK, THUS ENDANGERING MANY OTHER ROAD USERS LIVES.</p> <p>Driver only finished his deliveries at 12pm and this accident happened 6:30am.</p> <p> </p> <p>what is even worse is that the damages to my Newly owned vehicle has still not been Repaired to date (accident happened 14th of September 2016), no call of appology have been received, nothing.</p> <p> </p> <p>not everyone understands the severity of lack of maintenance on such heavy vehicles and how EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, this can be.</p> <p> </p> <p>after pleeding with them on their facebook page, they simply ignored my posts and deleted them.</p> <p> </p> <p>this is my story from a mechanical engineering technicians perspective</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
