ALBANY SELLS OLD BREAD

On 22 June 2021 I purchased a loaf of bread from Spar Eersteriver. The label on the bread indicated that the bread was still good till 26 June 2021. Less than 10 minutes after purchasing the bread, the bread was used for its intended purpose.

At first I did not notice the texture of the bread while preparing it. With my first bite however, I am immediately taste that the bread was old. I again checked the expiry date and notice that it really did state 26 June 2021.

I immediately contacted Albany, after a few days they contacted me and advise me that they want to investigate whether the issue was not with Spar.

The bread was immediately returned to Spar and the manager was advised of the old bread on their shelves. The branch manager then went to check the rest of the bread and noticed that they all looked the same. He too contacted them and advised them of the old bread.

I was sick to after eating that old bread, I couldn't even sleep that evening I will never buy another product of them.

This is not just bad service, it is ********, what else is old and being sold to the public by and is the fault of Spar?

I am not leaving this matter here this should not happen to anyone.
