Damages Caused To Vehicle.

I have been using APS for many years, and have always found their service satisfactory until the day that there was an issue for them to resolve. I dropped my vehicle there for a long weekend and upon collection, I was inspecting the exterior of the vehicle and my girlfriend was handling the payment. All looked in order at the time so we did as usual, paid, packed the car, got the keys and began to drive off. I immediately noticed that my navigation/multimedia screen was cracked. I called their office immediately and as I was only 200m away from where I collected the vehicle I decided to turn around and head straight back to the collection/drop off point. While on the phone with the person, I angrily asked why no one had informed me of the damage that they had caused. They said I must take a picture and sent it to their 'complaints' email address. I did that, as well as returned to the point of collection. I spoke to the manager there, who also took a picture, and the driver who collected the vehicle and was able to confirm that damage was not there when I dropped the vehicle off. I called back every day for two days asking what they were going to do to rectify the situation and I kept being told that the owner would contact me and he was either out or busy or dealing with some or other personal issues. I was also hung up on several times for apparently being rude when I challenged the operator on why no one was contacting me. I eventually received a mail from the owner saying I had signed for it and also that their T&C's mean they dont have to take responsibility for any damage. He also said that I caused the damage because the screen was fine when handing it over to me. He then called me an "asshole" and hung up. There is no more despicable business practices than these, a company that when issues need to be resolved choose to avoid any contact, responsibility and then throw the T&C's book at you. I am shocked that businesses like these continue to operate in this manner. I would highly recommend you do not use this company at all.
