AIR MAURITIUS -THE WORST PART OF MAURITIUS

Firstly, let me start by saying that our holiday to Mauritius was amazing and I would recommend going there to anyone just avoid Air Mauritius particularly if you have connecting flights on your return. <br> <br> We decided to take a holiday to Mauritius with my pregnant wife (due Feb 2016), myself and our toddler (2 years old) . Despite being booked on an Air Mauritius ticket, we flew to Mauritius on 17 Sep 2015 on a code share SAA operated flight which went well. We then were scheduled to return on Air Mauritius flight MK- 851 on 24 Sep 2015 departing 9:15am arriving 11:50am in Joburg. We had a connecting flight to Durban on Mango Airlines at 2pm to visit my wife's mother in hospital .Unfortunately the Air Mauritius flight was delayed and only arrived at 2pm in Joburg causing us to miss our connecting flight to Durban.<br> <br> Air Mauritius staff told us that there is nothing they would do and we will have to make our own arrangements and rebook with Mango at our own cost. My pregnant wife, toddler and myself had to then run around the Airport. What an ordeal. R1 650.00 later we finally got a flight on standby with my poor wife in severe pain from the experience. Despicable!
