I bought an alternator from the AHK branch in De la rey Road Parow, fitted it and it worked fine for about a month. I took it off and returned the part, they first explained that they did not do claims on weekends, but after explaining to them that my vehicle was left standing in Piketberg, my claim was processed immediately and was given a new alternator. I am now driving for about 2 months. I understand that things break sometimes due to factory faults etc. But it is the level of service that counts upon returning the product that counts to me more than when you originally purchased it.
