Think twice before you take this cover.

This was marketed to me as a comprehensive medical cover, like a Medical aid. After I told the consultant this I DO NOT want medical insurance. Be careful when you sign up with them. They exclude more than they cover. They only pay R400 per prescription, they also limit your amount of prescription per week. If you have a "growth " or something similar, make sure that you have a crystal ball, because in their terms it is a "general evolving cause" how does a patient know about this ahead of time without being diagnosed first? Well AGS health doesn't cover this. The call center agents may be friendly or helpful, but don't be fooled when it comes to what they will pay for. I would not recommend them, as I sadly did.

Good day Natalie,  I trust you are well.  Please be advised that as a medical insurance provider, we operate within specified limits and constraints.  The benefits outlined in the selected plan are accurate. For medication, we provide a reimbur*****t of R400 per event, with a maximum annual limit of R1200 per member.  Similarly, for day-to-day benefits such as doctor’s visits, the plan covers up to 4 visits per member annually, with a reimbur*****t of R475 per visit.  Please note that there is a designated period during which claims can be made. This policy is in place to prevent the immediate exhaustion of benefits and to ensure that available funds remain for future needs.  All benefits, along with their respective rules and limitations, are detailed in the policy document. It is stipulated that gradual evolving conditions, such as growths, are excluded from coverage, regardless of whether they are newly diagnosed. Our policies are underwritten by Africa Unity Life, and all benefits and rules are thoroughly reviewed and approved.  Kind regards,
