Unjustified Deposit Deduction by Afcho Management

Afcho Property Management does not want to give me back my deposit! Having been a tenant with them, I fulfilled my obligations responsibly and provided the required notice before vacating. However, upon termination, I did not complete the full 12-month contract, falling short by just one month. The issue arises with the penalty fee that Afcho has levied against me, which equates to my full deposit. I find it unsettling that they would impose such a hefty fee, especially considering I stayed for 11 out of the 12 months. It seems unreasonably severe and lacks proportionality when compared to a tenant who might have only resided for a significantly shorter duration. I am seeking the return of my full deposit, along with the accrued interest. Be warned if you are thinking of stay in their apartments!
