They Don't pay back deposit
I moved in at Platinum Place in doornfontein September 2018 and paid deposit of R1950 over 3 months as it was their promotion if I took the place... When signing the lease I was told that I will get my deposit anytime I decide to leave. Unfortunately I had to relocate to KZN at the end of December 2018 then served a notice on the 12th of December... Yesterday I called about my deposit money they told me that I will not get it because I didn't stay in their building for a year, yet I paid full rental for the Month of December... Why these people are reaping us off like this... I am not even close to being rich I work really hard for every cent I have n now Afhco have taken close to 2000 from me just like that.

21 Jan 2019, 07:50 Dear Nokuthila After careful consideration and in view of your request to cancel the agreement before the end of the Initial Period (12 months period of the lease) thus breaching or not complying with the terms and conditions of your lease agreement; we are entitled over and above any rights in law to charge you a reasonable penalty. For ease of reference, see clause in your lease agreement. If the tenant cancels the Lease agreement with the Landlord before the end of the initial period, the Tenant agrees that the Landlord will be entitled to charge the Tenant a reasonable penalty.
