Terrible customer service, terrible business practices
I'm writing this to lodge a complaint firstly against your customer service staff that knows absolutely nothing about service or the treatment of customers to begin with. Today, on 06/10/2022 I made a call to your offices to confirm that my notice of cancelation was received and to update my email address should any further communication be required.
Upon updating my number, I had more questions regarding whether any additional charges will be made to my account since my lease is only expiring in February 2022. Your unprofessional agent advised me I'd have to pay a certain fee as I moved in via discount. I asked him to explain the logic behind that as I'm already forfeiting my deposit, he put me on hold and proceeded to hang up on me. I then tried to call again at 16:45 to get to the bottom of this where none of my calls were picked. This is not new to your customer service department. Your working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 but you are always unreachable for the first 30 minutes of the business hours as well as the last 30 to 15 minutes.
This is terrible business practice and shows just how little your tenants are cared for.
I'm well within my rights as a customer to give a 20 working days' notice and not be penalized unless for the cost of advertising the unit as well as any reasonable repairs which will also require proof of cost.
You withholding my deposit is firstly ******* regardless of what your contract says. You in fact, have to perform an outgoing inspection, determine costs, take what's required if any repairs are required and pay back my deposit along with the interest it has accumulated so far.
I was willing to let that slide however, what you will not do is charge me for your own marketing benefit. The 50% off is to lure customers in. You cannot then charge them the difference when they decide to move out.
Anything on your contract that contradicts the CPA is unenforceable
