Request for assistance

Dear AFCHO Management,

I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding the current entrance and exit arrangement for the parking area at Frank & Hirsch.

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the current parking access, as the entrance currently being used is extremely difficult to navigate. The way the entrance is positioned makes it challenging to enter and exit safely, particularly for drivers who are still gaining confidence or who are not highly experienced drivers.

This has become more than just an inconvenience. I have personally had situations where I have struggled to enter or exit the parking area and have had to ask other people to assist me. Unfortunately, I have also noticed that I am not the only tenant experiencing this difficulty. There are several tenants who regularly struggle with the same entrance, to the point where it has become noticeable among residents.

My biggest concern is that the difficulty of navigating this entrance is resulting in vehicles being scratched. This means that tenants are effectively incurring additional costs because of an access arrangement that could potentially be improved.

What is particularly frustrating is that there are two entrances to the parking area, yet only one is currently being used by tenants. The second entrance appears to be significantly more spacious and user-friendly. It also provides better visibility, making it easier for drivers to see approaching vehicles and navigate safely.

However, the second entrance is currently blocked by vehicles, including what I understand to be Britelink company vehicles. I appreciate that these vehicles may be there for legitimate work purposes, and I am not raising an issue with the company vehicles themselves. My concern is whether the parking arrangement could be reconsidered so that these vehicles use the first entrance, while tenants are allowed to use the more spacious and accessible entrance as the main entrance and exit.

The current arrangement creates unnecessary difficulty for tenants. At the first entrance, it is also difficult to see whether another vehicle is approaching, which makes the situation even more stressful and potentially unsafe. The second entrance appears to provide better visibility, more space and a much easier route for vehicles.

I recently had a conversation with another tenant/friend about the parking situation, and she said something that really highlighted how serious this issue has become: “I’ll buy a car once I move from Frank & Hirsch.” I immediately understood what she meant because I have personally experienced the same frustration.

Not everyone is an experienced or highly confident driver, and tenants should be able to use their vehicles without feeling anxious every time they have to enter or leave the building. I should not have to regularly find someone to assist me simply to get my car in or out of the parking area.

I also believe that many tenants may be experiencing the same problem but have chosen to remain silent. I am raising this complaint because the situation is now affecting me financially and emotionally, particularly when vehicles are being scratched as a result of trying to navigate the entrance.

I therefore kindly request that AFCHO Management investigate the current parking arrangement and seriously consider opening the second entrance for tenant use, preferably making it the main entrance and exit for residents. If there are operational or security reasons preventing this, I would appreciate an explanation and would welcome a discussion of possible alternatives that could make the parking area safer and more user-friendly.

I am not simply raising a complaint without a proposed solution. There is an existing second entrance that appears to offer a more practical and safer option. I am respectfully asking management to assess whether the current arrangement can be changed to better accommodate the tenants who live here.

I would appreciate it if this matter could be escalated to the relevant property/building manager for consideration and if AFCHO could provide feedback on whether the second entrance can be opened for tenant use.

I sincerely hope management will consider the concerns raised by myself and other tenants and take steps to improve the parking experience before more vehicles are damaged or tenants become even more frustrated.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to receiving your response and, hopefully, a practical solution.
