Not obtaining my full deposit

I'm truly disgusted and disappointed on how Afhco Property Management operates. I'm a former tenant from the building called Frank & Hirsch, as I moved in I was required to pay an upfront deposit of R2450 and was assured I will obtain it back when I move out, should I have not damaged anything in the bachelor flat, it was not mentioned to me I would require to repaint the bachelor flat when I move out. I have recently moved out of the bachelor flat with no damages obtained in the property but now the building manager tells me I will be charged for repainting the bachelor flat, I don't recall signing for that. The repainting of the bachelor flat cost me R1200, that is a lot of money for just paint and I believe the painting cost needs to be incurred by Afhco Property Management not the tenant. Clearly I can see there isn't much money I will get back nor will I obtain it in the 7 working days. Never again will I live nor recommend someone to stay under Afhco Property Management, you really ******* people!
