No water, no action from AFHCO

Since taking occupation at 252 Montrose it has been a nightmare. I have never ever experienced such bad management of a complex and wish I had done proper homework on AFHCO. My latest concern refers: There has for the past month not been consistent water flow between 08h00 and 12h00 on a daily basis. I have logged this with Lawrence on 1 Aug 2020 (no response), logged with customer services (#252572 - Nosipho), to which I have to date not received any feedback. Today I proceeded to once again call your Customer Service line and was tasked to contact Pieter directly (no answer). I am unable to clean, cook, wash myself or my hair, do my washing - nothing. It is absolutely disgusting that AFHCO increases tariffs, yet cannot provide their tenants with the "value" of services for the tariffs; i.e. basic needs. Absolutely FEDUP with AFHCO and their **** service. For the amount I pay on a monthly basis it is ****************!

Good Day Allison,

Thank you for bringing your query to our attention.

We are aware of the low water pressure issue which is council related and previously communicated same with all tenants. Our portfolio and utility departments are constantly liaising with council on developments in this regard and your previous interactions with us and responses as mentioned. Please also remember that as previously stated in our letters to all tenants, all utility charges are imposed by the city councils, and Afhco merely pass them on to tenants without any profit whatsoever.

Kindly accept our sincere apologies regarding the intermittent water flow due to council’s technical difficulties and note that we will continuously update you on developments.

Kind Regards
AJ

Hi AFHCO,

I wish the lies would cease; however, I will be responding via email to this matter for purpose of correctly documenting all detail.

In short:
- This is not a water pressure issue, there is no water at all.
- I would really love proof as to where this was communicated to tenants. This is VERY new news to me and I'm sure to other tenants of 252 Montrose as well.
- I was not disputing the charges/increases; the message brought across is that we are payment abiding tenants. Where we are required to pay X for tariffs, we expect the service to be granted to us with no interruption.
- I find it extremely alarming that no other surrounding complexes are affected with this "water pressure" matter; only 252 Montrose. Yet the sprinkler system is working with no issues at all.
