Is AFHCO going to compensate for the costs incurred during the 9 dark days in Jhb?

Having the electricity now restored, is it going to be business as usual for AFHCO? I as a tenant have incurred costs which were never planned for and I have a request to make. I know this was nobody's fault but the bottom line is that things were difficult, lets face it. I feel that not saying anything about this will not do me good as a person who hustles to get by and I need to hold AFHCO to account for this. AFHCO can hold City Power into account as a stakeholder in business if needs be but I as an afhco tenant have to address this issues with them.

1. ALL FOOD GOT SPOILT (most of my food is refrigerated and I have to buy food all over again) 2. BUDGET WAS COMPROMISED (had to live on take outs for the whole 9 days, surely this had a negative effect)

Does Afhco have any considerations then in this regard?

Dear Sthembiso,

We thank you for your continued communication and our previous response to you dated the 7th September refers;

From the moment the power interruption occurred, we continuously reported to all our affected tenants on developments as and when updated by City Power. Furthermore and to assist as much as we could, at a great cost to Afhco, we constantly provided all our affected buildings with generators to ensure emergency lighting (common areas and lifts) and that water was pumped through the tanks so that the supply continued uninterrupted.

Once again, we apologise sincerely for any inconvenience as a result of ******** acts which resulted in utility interruptions and should you need any further assistance or require any additional information, do not hesitate to contact us at *** or telephonically on ***.

Regards,

SS

So you give the same response for a different issue, how is that possible? Your response is not relevant to the issue I'm raising, it is lame. Apologizing for inconvenience is not adequate in this regard. You are not addressing facts here. The fact is we as tenants incurred costs which were not budgeted for. Are you going to do something about this?
