I want my Deposit Back PLEASE
As per the cancellation of lease, I have served my 1 calendar month notice and I moved out of Unit 302 at Nukerk on 31 January 2016. I have signed the snag list with the caretaker and I left the unit the way I found it. I was supposed to receive my deposit back in 7 days. Yesterday being the 7th day I called your \customer care\" and i was sent from pillar to post. While still staying there I don't remember a single month/day where you had to remind me to pay rent. I paid my rent every single month on time, so I don't understand why you are still holding on to my hard earned R2900. Please pay back my money as all relevant documentation including my banking details were submitted to you on time. I just want to move on from all the trauma caused by staying at your ****roach infested Nukerk building where I got ****** twice outside the building despite \"security\" who just stood there like an audience chatting and listening to music on their phones. Please pay me back my money or I am going straight to the renting tribunal. "

After careful consideration and in view of your request to cancel the agreement before the end of the Initial Period (12 months period of the lease) thus breaching or not complying with the terms and conditions of your lease agreement; we are entitled over and above any rights in law to charge a reasonable penalty.
The notice to cancel lease agreement form (and its conditions) which you completed and signed clearly states that your deposit is refundable within 7 working days provided that you have served the term of your lease (a penalty will apply where this is not the case).
