DEPOSIT BEING HELD BACK FOR NO REASON.

I moved out on the 31/08/2016 from Sambro Building, and I followed all their instructions which included signing a snag list with the Building Manager beforwe Ileft, according to the Notice Letter's Terms and Conditions I had to following all their intructions:

On the 05/09/2016 I received an sms at around 16:31pm to send through my Bank Statement, I calle dto find out if an internet one would surfice and I was told it would, I then immediatley sent same via email.

I called on the 06/09/2016 and spoke to a gentleman called Njaabulo who advised me that they'd received my e-mailed bank statement, (but didn't bother to reply to it), her then informed that the deposit would take between 7 and 14 working days, when I asked why so long because it has almost been 7 days since I moved, he stuttered, and told me it depends on when the building manager handed in the snag list I signed (not sure how that's my problem, because that's not one of the T & C's). He then asked me to hold and kept me waiting for about 10 min and didn't come back to me.

Not only am I the only one doing the following up, nobody gets back to me to explain anything and suddenly the T & C's are not adhreared to and I need to wait for MY money, weven though initially when the deposit was paid it was done in a matter of a few hours.

Their T & C's I see are as follows:

4. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

a. Notice of one calendar month is required for any lease signed before 1 April 2011.

b. Notice of 20 business days (one month) is required for any lease signed after 1 April 2011.

c. Your deposit is refundable within 7 working days provided that:

a. You have signed the snag move out list

b. There are no damages to your unit (where damages exist this can take up to 14 days )

c. There are no arrears on your account

d. You have served the term of your lease (a penalty will apply where this is not the case)

d. ORIGINAL PROOF OF BANKING DETAILS ARE REQUIRED BEFORE REFUNDS WILL BE PAID.

e. The tenant shall vacate the premises together with all belongings and possessions by not later than 12h00 on the last day of this lease.
