Delayed rent. Threatened lockout. Unprofessional staff.

On the 29th of March I notified their office of my rent being late due to unemployment, however, I have means to pay it on the 15th as I have an additional income which can cover rent. Bear in mind, I've never missed rent nor paid it late. I've been paying it duly and on time. They never responded with any written feedback, instead I received a call from Moses saying that he would escalate the matter and they would deal with me directly in response to this query. No written response,no call,no email. I only received a reminder SMS my rent being overdue about a week ago. Yesterday, 3 people from their office came knocking in the afternoon rudely demanding a receipt which proves my rent has been paid, I told them I'd spoken to Moses regarding this and I had not since received feedback on the matter. One of the lady's response was that Moses seems to have not even notified them of anything hence no notes, she had a list in her hand, I asked that she calls him. Apparently he was not answering, eventually when he did he advised I should visit their offices physically while they lock me out and they'd let me back in once an arrangement is made and I provide sufficient proof thereof. I asked for time to get ready to make my way there, mind you, I'm sick due to morning sickness as I'm pregnant. While I sat in I called their offices and spoke to Moses, he just casually told me that my request to pay rent on the 15th was declined as there was no sufficient proof that id be able to pay. The question is, why was this not furnished to me in writing??? So in panic, as I was caught off guard, I asked if there's a minimum amount payable to prevent being locked out he said R2000 and I should pay by 16:30, when I concluded that call it was about 15:35. I later realized that they're contravening the law as they were supposed to notify me of a lockout/eviction with a court order. I sent an email to him stating what possible legal repercussions the rental office would face should his colleagues come back to harass me. I am now stressed out, living in fear of being harassed, I'm appalled by how barbaric, unprofessional and insensitive their staff is. They seem unlearnered about the law such as the Rental Housing Act and PIE Act. It's either they are aware of it with the hopes that I'm not and took advantage, or they don't know it at all. I'm shocked. I would strongly advise that no one applies for rental with this company. They are unprofessional, they are horrible. I wonder what further steps they'd even take as they seem to have a habit of taking the law into their own hands. I see many complaints of former tenants not receiving their deposits on time. These people think they're above the law. The attitude of their staff stinks!
