Delayed Refund and Poor Service Standards: Renters Beware!
I purchased a property through this property management company. During the registration process at the Deed’s Office, I decided to rent out the property. Despite paying occupational rent for the month of December, my property was only registered around the 22nd of December. As a result, there was a partial refund of occupational rent owed to me.
On January 16th, I sent my bank statement to one of their sales administrators, as requested, to facilitate the refund. However, upon following up on February 8th, I was informed that my statement had not been received. I then directly contacted the Debtors Clerk, Nkosi Sibiya, who assured me that payment would be processed on either the 9th or 13th of February, as payments are typically processed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Unfortunately, despite these assurances, I have yet to receive the refund. This ongoing delay has been frustrating, especially considering that prior to the property's registration, it remained vacant, and I was unable to occupy it or pay occupational rent due to administrative issues.
Moreover, when I attempted to move into the premises in December, I encountered further complications as the company refused to hand over the keys until I provided proof of payment for the occupational rent. Their stringent approach during my move-in process contrasts sharply with the challenges I face in receiving a refund owed to me. They have repeatedly made empty promises, demonstrating a lack of accountability. While they insist on strict adherence to their own processes, they disregard the laws governing their business operations. This inconsistency is not only frustrating but also raises concerns about their professionalism and integrity.
