Bad service by Afcho
I am living at Cavendish house unit 1209, i am not happy with what i am being told by the building manager( whom is the first time i am seeing her ever since i moved in) that i will not get my deposit back because i have not served my term according to my lease and when i signed my leased i was never made aware of the terms and conditions because if i was aware of them i wouldn't have signed and according to the notice to cancellation of lease agreement it says a penalty will apply and taking the full amount of rent is not a penalty but robbing people the money they worked hard for...I am moving out month end and i want my deposit back after all the inspection by the manager or caretaker...

After careful consideration and in view of your request to cancel the agreement before the end of the Initial Period (12 months period of the lease (start 01/04/2019 & ends 31/03/2020) thus breaching or not complying with the terms and conditions of your lease agreement; we are entitled over and above any rights in law to charge you a reasonable penalty. As a reasonable penalty, we penalize the deposit. We are also within our rights to charge a reasonable percentage on the remaining period of the contract (which always works out higher than a deposit) but we do not as we comply and always want to be as even-handed as possible.
