Bad experience

I used to stay at Redwood complex in one of the underground units, the flooding there is so bad and the management do not care, I had to move out because my things got damaged and they didn't even compensate me for the damage,My furniture was swimming in water and it wasn't for the first time, the first time I gave them a benefit of a doubt hoping it will be fixed, but nothing was fixed,They don't care how they talk to their tenants they all about sales, if you will be moving in to their property good luck to you because it is a mess!!!

Good day Mathapelo,

Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry for the distress and inconvenience you experienced. Due to recent adverse weather conditions, we have unfortunately seen numerous flooding incidents across South Africa, and we acknowledge the impact this has had on many residents. We sympathise with you regarding the damage to your belongings. Kindly note, however, that in terms of the lease agreement, tenants are required to have their own personal household insurance to protect their belongings against incidents such as flooding, water damage, and other unforeseen events. That said, we made a goodwill decision to refund you in full, even though there were maintenance-related charges applicable to your unit. These charges have been waived, and no maintenance costs will be recovered from you. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention and we remain committed to improving service delivery and resident experience.
Kind regards,

We can blame the flooding all we want, but truth of the matter is that place is not in a very habitable place, and I have been complaining about it way before the flooding,it's as though there is an underground leakage and you haven't sent architectural people to come and check it out, when we complain about the water dump even when there isn't rain, your management will only send people to fix doors and repaint the place and we are still sitting with the problem,The problem becomes worse when it rains because the water ain't being drained anywhere so it will enter the groundfloor units,if you don't fix the main problem you will still be sitting with the same problem years to come 😏😏to show that's not the only problem there's also moulding that is a health hazard,so blame the floods all you want but that's an agricultural site not for habitation.

You can run away from the fact that your place is inhabitable all your want, but deep down you know that the only thing that matters to you is money and nothing else, you don't care about your tenants...I hope you really do something about that😏more especially that underground leakage, call professionals to fix it do not cut corners to save money because one day that place will collapse.
