Bad Customer Service
<p>i stayed at Newgate 420 and before i cancelled my lease i spoke the customer services agent and he told me that if i cancel my lease they would be a certein persentage that will be debited on my deposit and the i called after i cancelled the lease asking about my refund they told me that the refund is in process i'll recieve it after 7 days and then when i call after 7 days they told me my deposit has been forfieted no communication was done and before i decided to move out i asked them about the penalty but the told they will only take some persentage and to make it worst is that even my stay there it was horrible with the cokroaches everywhere and that was the reason i moved out there</p>

After careful consideration and in view of your request to cancel the agreement before the end of the Initial Period (12 months period of the lease) thus breaching or not complying with the terms and conditions of your lease agreement; we are entitled over and above any rights in law to charge you a reasonable penalty.
For ease of reference, see below clause as per lease agreement clause 31.2
If the tenant cancels the Lease agreement with the Landlord before the end of the initial period, the Tenant agrees that the Landlord will be entitled to charge the Tenant a reasonable penalty. The Landlord, acting diligently, will try his best to find another Tenant for that period, but may take several months to do so.
We are also within our rights to charge a reasonable percentage on the remaining period of the contract (which always works out higher than a deposit) but we do not as we comply and always want to be as even-handed as possible.
