AFHCO Showing Me the Middle Finger After I Followed Every Step of Their Process to Get My Deposit Refund!

I honestly thought the reason people were not getting their deposit refunds was because they failed to follow AFHCO’s process. I thought I was being clever by making sure I followed every step of that process so I wouldn’t experience the same delay — but guess what, I’ve ended up suffering the exact same fate as everyone else.

I submitted my lease cancellation on 1 August 2025 to move out on 31 August 2025, serving my full 30 days’ notice as required. I then did the inspection with the building manager, and both of us signed it off. I even took a picture after the inspection, because I wanted to make sure I respected their process 100%.

I literally followed every single protocol to avoid any issues with my refund. And yet here I am — today is 2 October 2025, and I STILL haven’t received my deposit refund. I’ve been sent from pillar to post, and now I’m being told they “haven’t received my inspection,” which was already sent on 1 September 2025.

The truth is, don’t think that by respecting AFHCO’s process you’ll actually get your refund. Even when you follow everything to the letter, they still drag you through the mud. This feels like they’re showing us all a middle finger, process or no process.
