Afhco property management is *****ing our deposits.

When I moved in with Afcho I paid a deposit of R1950. I gave them adequate notice to move out but was only paid back R588

Excuse- for giving short notice by 4 days R200 was deducted. The rest was used to repaint the studio-a room. The moving out check list was not done in my presence. I was not informed of an deduction. Further lease agreements are not issued to customers and are kept in the file. This is against standard practice. The amount was just taken without my consent because it is in their account. Phoned them last week to lodge a complaint and I was promised feedback in 48 hours that did not happen. I went in today asked for the checklist as well as reasons for the deduction. There is information when I moved in. Nothing was completed on my moving out and the form is like that but money was taken on the pretence that painting was done. Don't large companies claim money back from SARS? Isn't this a clear case of benefitting twice from the same transaction. That is if painting was done. I know it wasn't. I want my money back from AFCHO. When I moved in the flat wasn't painted. I need to report them to the property ombudsman

Bottom line no due process was followed before. The check list was not completed on moving out.It is blank. I want my money back. Period. Maybe it is because we are Africans and that means easy money for your company. We work for the money. Don't ***** it from us. So ****ed of by your ********* practices

 Dear Felix,

our records indicate your signed check (snag)  move in list  confirmed all was in good condition and order but upon moving out,  painting had to be done.

Furthermore, there was a prorate charge for 4 day’s  late notice penalty fee.

We confirm that the customer service consultant provided you the snag move in.
